July!

I decided since I didn't have one post in July I would just sum up the entire month with one post. I will try to be a little better in August. Here are some things we have been doing this month!

Tayton caught his first fish all by himself! He was so excited. This is at Cave Lake, by Ely.

Tanna having fun on the 4th of July!

The Eureka 4th of July Parade. Tayton was in the pirate float, if you look close you might be able to see him. He thought that was great fun because if you know anything about this boy he loves pirates. The float said: "Yo Ho, Yo Ho, a Eureka life for me."

Mom and Tanna wathcing the parade!

After the parade they had a lot of kid games. Tayton won 2nd place in the sack race contest and won $3.00. They also had a nickel drop and he got lots of nickles. This picture is where they take off their shoes and put them in two different sacks. You run down, try to find your shoes, put them on then race back to the finish line. Tayton fell down and he said it was too hot without shoes, he didn't like this game too much but everything else he loved! Then we had a big bbq at the park where they did a gun fight show and it was great fun.

Fireworks! So I have to tell you this funny story about Eureka's fireworks. So the fireworks are put on by the Volunteer fire dept. They were about half way through the firework show when they got a fire call so they all just took off and the fireworks ended. We all kept waiting to see if they were coming back but they never did. It was pretty funny.

We took a quick trip to Utah to see my older brother and his wife Emily before they moved to Wisconsin. He just got back from Iraq. It was so fun to see them and Tayton thinks Uncle Jay is super fun!

Swimming at the Brigham City Pool. Aunt Whitney took Tayton down the slide, Tayton loved it!

Dad taking Tanna down the slide. She thought it was fun, she had a big smile on her face going down the slide. Not to sure about the end of the slide.

Although Tanna liked the slide this was by far her favorite thing. She loved splashing and crawilng all around in the shallow end. She could have done that all day!

Popciles, we love summer!

Life just can't get any better for a little girl when she has a popcicle!

Why we were in Utah we took the kids and went to the temple open house. We had a great time and it was fun go to the temple with our children.

Tanna's favorite was the light fixtures and the cookies at the end. I don't know how much actually ended up in her mouth, most of it was on her face.

Tayton thought it was so neet he could go inside the temple. He loved looking at the brochure and finding the rooms that matched the pictures.
